Data We Collect & How We Use It

We collect your name, email, phone number, and appointment details when you book a service or contact us. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email and consent status. With your cookie consent, we also collect anonymised website analytics via Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights.

We use this data to manage appointments, provide ear care services, send appointment reminders, deliver marketing emails (with your consent), and improve our website.

Legal Basis

We process data based on consent (newsletters, analytics cookies), contract performance (providing booked services), legitimate interest (improving services, responding to enquiries), and legal obligation (healthcare regulations, tax requirements).

Data Sharing & Transfers

We never sell your data. We share it only with processors acting on our instructions: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (email delivery), Notion (content management), and Cal.com (appointment booking). Where data is transferred outside the UK, Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the ICO are in place.

Data Retention

Clinical records are kept for 8 years per healthcare guidelines. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is anonymised and aggregated within 24 hours. Contact enquiries are kept for 2 years from your last communication.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at appointments@sereneearcare.co.uk to exercise any right — we will respond within one month.
